Pelsall Service of Remembrance 2018

Copies of the above were handed out to all who attended Pelsall's Remembrance Service of 2018

The march took place along the entire length of Pelsall High Street, from the village centre to the War Memorial.

The march consisted of the Clergy, Veterans, family members of fallen service personnel, local schools, Cub's Scouts, Explorers, Brownies and Guides.

The march muster began at 10.15am and commenced at 10.35am.

This year's parade was like no others before.  This year there were two distinct parts.

Part 1 was the march along Pelsall High Street, to the War Memorial followed by muster at the War Memorial together with the general public for part 2, The Act of Remembrance.

As follows, The Act of Remembrance and laying of wreaths follow a specific precedence protocol agreed by military organisations.

The Sovereign or representative if in attendance, MP or representative if in attendance, The Mayor or representative if in attendance, Local Councillor, Representatives of Regular Forces, Representatives of Territorial and Reserve Forces, Representatives of POPRS, Veterans Associations, Civilian Services, Voluntary Uniformed Services, Cadet Forces, Youth Associations (Cub's, Scouts, Brownies and Guides), Schools, Pelsall Community Groups (PCA, TWG etc) and members of the public.
